The Kings and Queens Chapter of the American Bridge Association (ABA) and Roswell Roots are proud to be sponsoring the 10th Anniversary Bid Whist Card Party. The game of whist, a precursor to both bid whist and bridge, has been around since the 1700s, when it was a favorite of London gambling houses. During the Civil War, African Americans were introduced to the game and were said to have put the “bid” in bid whist.
Boxed lunch included with the purchase of a ticket. $15 registration includes game and refreshments payable up to 30 minutes prior to game.
