Alex Guthrie at Eddie's Attic (solo)

Blending a soulful combination of vocals and story-rich lyrics, Guthrie has created a synergy of 70s, southern blues bands through an infusion of R&B, soul, folk and rock. He is most recently noted for his role in the American Family Insurance commercial alongside singer Jennifer Hudson. Guthrie and his band have performed events including Milwaukee’s SummerFest, which was also featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Music. as well as the 30A Songwriter’s Festival in Florida. He recently played the Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta; Wire and Wood Songwriter Festival in Alpharetta, GA; Jammin’ Java listening room in Vienna, VA; Elbo Room in Chicago, IL; and sold-out shows at the famed Eddie’s Attic in Atlanta, GA. Guthrie has opened for national touring artists including Atlantic Records recording artist Kelly Clarkson, RCA recording artist Bleachers and famous BMLG Records recording artist Drake White.

Australian alt-pop group Cub Sport will be coming to Atlanta, GA on April 3rd at Eddie’s Attic in support of their sophomore album, “BATS.” This deeply personal collection of songs chronicling lead singer Tim Nelson’s journey of coming out as gay and admitting his love for fellow band member Sam (Bolan) Netterfield. The two are now happily engaged. The independent band have been featured in Billboard, Alternative Press, Nylon and The Fader among other outlets.

Decatur singer/songwriter David Robert King celebrates the upcoming release of his album IDAHO at Eddie's Attic. King has become known as Mary Gauthier’s longtime guitarist and frequent opening act. About the album, Gauthier said, “IDAHO, David Robert King’s new record, is a stunning soundscape of whispered confessions and poignant observations. A beautiful collection of haunting songs, it deserves a good listen.” King has also shared stages with Josh Ritter, The Mark O'Connor Band, Tim O'Brien, Loudon Wainwright III, Darrell Scott, and Over The Rhine. He has had featured spots at the legendary Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, TN, AMERICANAFEST 2017, and the 30A Songwriter’s Festival. King was also named a finalist in the 2017 NewSong Music Competition, performing last year at Lincoln Center in New York.
