Decatur Library Book Sale

Friends of the Decatur Library will host a book sale. The sale will be held on the lawn, in front of the Decatur Library. Proceeds provide funds for library materials and programs for children and adults. Only cash or checks will be accepted. Dealers must scan at tables. Enjoy a weekend of celebrating at the Decatur Arts festival. Kick off the "unofficial" start of summer with family fun for everyone. Admission is free! Saturday; May 26, 2018. Time: 9:00 am-3:00 pm. Decatur Library Book Sale

The Friends of the Decatur Library will host a book sale on Saturday, February 3, 2018, from 9 am to 3 pm. The sale will be held inside the building, on lower level of the Decatur Library. Thousands of gently used fiction, nonfiction and children’s books, as well as CDs, and DVDs will be available for purchase. Winter book sales are so much fun! Cold weather and a book. See me smiling Only cash or checks will be accepted. Dealers must scan at tables. All proceeds benefit the programs and collections of the Decatur Library. Admission to this exciting event is FREE! Donations of gently used books are always welcome at library front desks.

Groundhog Day Mini Golf at the Library

Once again we're transforming the library into a mini-golf course! This is an event not to miss. Bring the family for some fun and practice your putting skills! Registration opens at 10:00 a.m. on the day of the program. Limit four people per tee time. Tee times begin at 7:00 p.m., with the last tee time at 8:15 p.m. Hang out in our clubhouse while you await your tee time.

Java Monkey Slam

Hosted by Daryl Funn Witness the battle of words. Poets have 3 minutes to kick knowledge drop science spin yarn. 5 Judges picked at random will place a numeric value to these poems. The audience will SWAY the judges scores. The highest and lowest scores are dropped the 3 middle scores are added to give the poet a total score for that round. Poets with highest scores will moveon to the next round. List opens 7:00 Slam will start at 7:30 First twelve poets will slam FREE to watch the Slam. Free to Judge Free to SLAM Three rounds!
