Americana rocker and songwriter for hire Chuck Prophet usually tours with his rugged band Mission Express, mopping up clubs with sweat-soaked country rock. On Wed., July 20, Prophet adds a string quartet to his repertoire, showing off material from 2014’s Night Surfer — a roots albums that fully embrace strings. Eclectic singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Joseph Arthur opens the show. Arthur is sure to show off songs from his 2014 album of Lou Reed covers, Lou, along with cuts from his latest solo album, The Family.
