5 Play: Miloh Smith’s ‘In Here,’ and Abra’s ‘so far gone’

Plus, new visuals from Awful Records and Wara From the NBHD

Miloh Smith — “In Here”
DJ Burn One’s now listing his production credits as “Five Points Music,” which includes both members of iNDEEDFACE, Go! Ricky Go! and Walt-Live. Last week they dropped “Sex, Money, Drugs”, and this week they’ve unloaded their collaboration with MC/singer Miloh Smith, “In Here.” Y’all know we love us some Miloh Smith, and “In Here” features the amorphous artist splitting her time on the 4-minute track rapping and singing over a slick guitar riff from Ricky Fontaine, and some haunting piano key stroking. The track will be on DJ Burn One’s forthcoming GREENWOOD compilation.

Big K.R.I.T. — “Cadillactica” (Video)

If Matt Swinsky’s directing, you should be watching. The visuals for Big K.R.I.T.’s single “Cadillactica” could easily be dubbed “Cadillacs in space,” thanks to the galactic treament. Thought it’s not raunchy like Swinky’s video for Black Lip’s “Boys in the Wood,” there’s plenty of vivid imagery to appreciate like the sight of K.R.I.T.’s grill paired with milky ways, stars, and, of course, the Cadillac logo.
RaRa — “Psalms 138:7” feat. Pill

I was JUST asking someone, “Where the hell is Pill?!” Well, we know RaRa’s been busy reinventing himself (and doing a fine job), so it’s fitting that these two MCs, who are masters of telling tall tales of street life, would link up for this track.

Wara From the NBHD — “Raw” (Video)

While in NYC last month, Wara From the NBHD shot some visuals to go with his track, “Raw.” With elements of Grand Theft Auto, and New Jersey Drive, the video finds the MC more or less up to no good in the Bronx. Or as Wara told us, “the beat makes you feel like something sneaky’s going on, some criminal activity.” That feeling of clandestine activity definitely comes to life in this short clip.

Abra — “Diamonds & Gold” (Video)

Awful Records’ resident songstress released her video for “Diamonds & Gold,” and it was shot by none other than the collective’s de facto leader, Father. Rocking all-black contact lenses with a nighttime setting, the video should creep us out, but instead Abra’s sultry vocals make the creepiness of it all kind of enjoyable.
