Spray Paint plays the Earl tonight

Despite an air of insincerity, one would be hard-pressed to find a more genuine band these days, albeit in the most sardonic way possible.

? Spray Paint is clearly one of the more interesting bands to pop up in the last few years. Borrowing from off-kilter genres such as no-wave and art-punk, the group’s deranged sound is affected by cold repetition, even in their grindcore-worthy song lengths, and a don’t-give-a-fuck attitude. Indeed, the group’s sound is best represented by the popular emoticon:
