SPREAD LOVE — DJ Kemit is in fact spreading the love with Atlanta’s own WCLK-FM (91.9) host and Soul and Jazz partner Jamal Ahmad joining him on the decks. It’s the Soul Power edition, and with both Kemit and Ahmad’s deep knowledge of soul, house, hip-hop, funk, and all things in between, you will be moved to dance. Ask for your free Spread Love T-shirt when you get there. $10-$15. 10 p.m. 595 North Ave.

?
SOUND TABLE FOR JAPAN — That almost says it all. DJ and Sound Table partner Karl Injex, Kai Alce and Funmi Onanaiye “play soul-warming beats for your dancing pleasure,” with proceeds from the door and a specialty cocktail to benefit Doctors Without Borders’ efforts in Japan. Check out the link above, which takes you to the FB event page, complete with lots of videos to get you through the workday. $10. 11 p.m. 483 Edgewood Ave.

SATURDAY

?
STAN ZEFF — As if the Drinkshop isn’t a compelling enough venue, Zeff holds it down with the appropriate aural complement. The Tambor resident is sure to warm up the evening with loungey house that’s just hot enough to get you ready for the next spot ... or not. This is part of a rotating DJ series, with the likes of Atlanta’s notable DJs, including Chris Grass, Chris Nicholson, Mike Katz, Terry Holloway and Osmose. Free. 9 p.m. 45 Ivan Allen Blvd. 404-582-5789.

SUNDAY

SUNDAY SCHOOL
— Afrique Electrique’s latest edition of Sunday School is to welcome spring, and to celebrate the opening of Rare’s patio. It’s an all-day cookout with food from the grill and $3 cocktails. Salah Ananse is the resident DJ putting it down with special guests Apple Jac and Swift, and with Kevin Latham, DJ Lox, DJ 1derful, Tabone, Ausar, Cozy Shawn, Taurus the Bull, DJ Lowe-Key and others in the place to provide more move-music inspiration.
