Daytona Beach, Fla.
Get your motor runnin’ and head out on the highway to Daytona Beach for Biketoberfest Oct. 18-21. There’ll be races at Daytona Speedway; tons of bike shows featuring models by Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, BMW, and of course, Harley; seminars; and lots of Southern rock. Think of it as the last blowout ride of the season before putting the hogs up for the winter. www.biketoberfest.com.

Adairsville
Nothing says Halloween like roasted marshmallows and a haunted manor. Spirits of Barnsley celebrates the ghoulish season in mid-October with tales of tragedy and a tour of the “haunted” grounds. The fun begins in the Beer Garden with marshmallows roasted over a stone pit, and continues when the sky grows dark. Accom-panied by lanterns, a local historian and legend, you’ll hear the spooky lore of Barnsley Gardens’ ghosts among the ruins. Oct. 19, 20, 26 and 27. $15 adults, $8 children under 12. Barnsley Gardens, 597 Barnsley Road, Adairsville. 877-773-2447. www.barnsleyresort.com.

Canton
Looking for some corny fun? Try Cagle’s Dairy MAiZE in Canton through Nov. 10. It takes only 15 minutes to make it through the path if you know the way out of the seven acres of corn. But most people take about an hour to sift through the twisty-turny maze, which is carved in the shape of the Cagle Dairy logo, a barn and a silo. Open Thurs. 4-9 p.m., Fri. 4-10 p.m., Sat. 9 a.m.-10 p.m., and Sun. 1 p.m.-6 p.m. $7, $5 kids 5-12; kids 5 and under free. 362 Stringer Road, Canton. 770-345-5591. www.caglesdairy.com.??
