Meat to please you
Fogo de Chao, billed as “a bona fide churrascaria,” recently opened on Piedmont in the late-but-not-lamented Brookwood Grill. Churrascarias are Brazilian steakhouses that feature slow-roasted meats. At Fogo de Chao, diners choose from a prix-fixe menu with unlimited portions and a choice of 15 different cuts of meat. In addition to the meat parade, the eatery houses a huge salad buffet and offers traditional Brazilian beverages. 3101 Piedmont Road. 404-995-9982.

Green day
If you want to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and avoid Buckhead’s ticky-tacky parade — strippers and green beer, anyone? — consider instead the Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta (181 Peachtree Street, 404-659-0400), or Nikolai’s Roof (at the top of the Hilton, 255 Courtland Street, 404-221-6362). Both are planning St. Patrick’s Day weekend menus. The Ritz will offer lunch and dinner specials such as corned beef and cabbage, Irish potato stew, along with live Celtic music. Nikolai’s Roof will offer a seven-course prix-fixe dinner for $67.50 per person, featuring bison shepherd’s pie, Irish milk lamb, a cheese course and more.??
