Downtown up-and-comings
It’s a lounge, it’s a nightclub, it’s a restaurant, it’s Trinity. Furthering attempts to resuscitate the downtown scene, this new venue offers casual, upscale dining both at lunch and dinner, featuring a simple menu of snacks, sandwiches and pastas. The corner of Fairlie and Poplar streets is home to a new bar and bistro called Icon. The restaurant, opened by Karma owner Pablo Henderson, is now serving lunch. 85 Poplar St. 404-872-0040.

Shop right
Pick up collectibles and edibles at the new Spruill Saturday Market. The five-acre outdoor market will include art and antiques, fresh flowers, an organic farmer’s market and more. Held every Saturday through December. 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. 4681 Ashford-Dunwoody Road.

Eight ball
Buckhead’s Cafe Tu Tu Tango is having a week-long throwdown to celebrate its eighth anniversary. The celebration kicks off May 17 with a salute to Sam Massell from 7-8 p.m. and continues May 19 with an art fair from 11:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Tango artists will showcase their works, and 10 percent of sales will benefit the Brookhaven Boys & Girls Club. 220 Pharr Road. 404-841-6222.

Spring has sprung
Mumbo Jumbo Executive Chef Shaun Doty introduces a new spring lunch menu with entrees that include game, organic produce, cheeses, breads and fish. Sandwich additions include a grilled portobello burger with tomato confit, arugula and goat cheese and a BLT with Applewood smoked bacon. Find a use for those luscious berries at Wollaston Smith’s “Spring into Fruit” cooking class presented by Jennifer Etchison-Pricci.
