DocuFest Atlanta 2007
Dropping out and turning on has a different feel in the 21st century. Lost and Found in Mexico (Sat., SEPT. 29; pictured), one of the features at DOCUFEST ATLANTA, follows psychotherapist Caren Cross, who chucks it all to live among a crowd of American ex-pats in San Miguel, and documents her and her compatriots’ various reasons for fleeing. Especially moving is the sensitive testimony of cancer survivor and ex-New Yorker Nancy Sylvor. Now officially an annual festival, DocuFest, which opened Thurs., Sept. 27, highlights a diverse group of documentaries from around the world. Through Sept. 29. $5-$10. Times vary. Eyedrum, 290 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Suite 8. 404-522-0655. www.festivalleague.com/2007docufest.
