We warned you <a href=”http://clatl.com/freshloaf/archives/2015/01/07/paris-on-ponce-to-open-new-gallery-space-host-more-public-events” target=”_blank>it would happen</a>, and now it finally has — <a href=” http:=”” clatl.com=”” atlanta=”” location?oid=”1298724&guide=city”“>Paris on Ponce is opening their own gallery space. After a significant period of time clearing out the front room, PoP Contemporary Art Gallery is up and ready. The inaugural exhibition, On Inches, will feature the work of Ally White, Carl Janes, and Molly Rose Freeman. Freeman has created a large gradient wall piece to tie all the exhibition pieces together in the space. Carl Janes (otherwise known as Future Ancestors) will be showcasing the latest work from the Secret Spot — which he owns and operates — in the gallery as well. His personal work, “Look,” will include a set of red Viewmasters which toy with our nostalgia enough to make you call home. Sponsored by Orpheus Brewing, the free event will accept donations for drinks. The opening will take place on Thurs., March 12, from, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Click here for more info.

? The themes of Ryan Coleman’s first solo exhibition echo patterns of his high-low artistic tendencies: the aesthetics of a street artist and the informed clarity of an art historian. Having had experiences which range from Cartoon Network animator to studio assistant for Jeff Koons, this kind of dichotomy should come as no surprise. Pareidolia, Coleman’s first solo exhibition, focuses on the relationship between the uncommon and the significant. Named for the psychological phenomena in which people consider certain stimuli meaningful (i.e., recognizing a figure in the clouds or hearing a pattern in a record), the collection of paintings and works on paper will be presented by Sandler Hudson Gallery. Though on view through May 8, an opening reception will be held this Fri., March 13 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. More details here.

? “Every family has their little traditions.” House of Yes, directed by Topher Payne, tells the story of a wealthy family in Washington D.C. that was never quite able to recover from the Kennedy assassination. The 1990 black comedy by Wendy MacLeod will feature Emily Sams, Daniel Carter Brown, Brandi Hoofnagle, Matt Busch, and Carolyn Choe in its cast. Already the fastest-selling show for Out Of Box Theatre, House of Yes will run from this Fri., March 13 through March 28. Grab tickets, here.

? Laura Relyea is everywhere recently: managing editor at Scoutmob, editor-in-chief at Vouched Books, author, and plain old local literary enthusiast. Her new book, All Glitter, Everything, is developed by Deer Bear Wolf Press from a smaller chapbook printing in October of 2013. The impending publication contains 50 stories showcasing one woman’s journey to embrace both herself and the world around her. Sat., March 14, Deer Bear Wolf and Relyea are teaming up to unite the individual women who provided inspiration for the book to read their respective selections — which will, naturally, culminate into a glitter dance party. To get the full story on Relyea and her impending book release, or just ticketing information, check out CL Culture Editor Gavin Godfrey’s article.
