Cynicism Nutshell: The Braves (18-19) inched closer to the ever elusive .500 mark over the weekend with their series victory over the lowly Arizona Diamondbacks (15-23).
A rather fortuitous late-inning victory on Friday night and a 13-1 rout on Sunday afternoon were adequate diversions from the Braves’ glaring weaknesses despite winning 10 of their last 15 ballgames.
