Falcons rookie Sean Weatherspoon ‘fell in love’ with Atlanta

That’s the reaction from newest Atlanta Falcon Sean Weatherspoon when asked about his initial feelings after being drafted 19th overall by his new team back in April.
Needless to say, Weatherspoon was pretty excited about his job placement.
“Basically, it was the team that I wanted to go to,” he said. “When they called me it was just like a dream come true because the whole time, throughout the Draft process, all my friends who had been through the process told me not to fall in love with any team, but they (Falcons) were definitely the team I fell in love with.
“I was just keeping my fingers crossed and it was just a blessing for me and my family to be a part of this.”
