Braves exec: 'It's just very narrow minded to say' that the Braves shouldn't get a tax exemption

“I think it’s just very narrow minded to say, ‘Oh, why should they be able to take that money out of the public?’ We’re putting a lot more into the public, and that’s I think the flaw in some of the rhetoric is that there’s no recognition for that.”

Atlanta Braves Executive Vice President of Business Operations Mike Plant criticizes the criticism that the ball club has received for wanting a state tax exemption worth millions. The Braves have already received $397 million from Cobb County to help build their new $672 million stadium. (via the Marietta Daily Journal)
