Dunwoody daycare shooter gets life without parole

A jury finds Hemy Neuman guilty but “mentally ill”

Hemy Neuman, the man who confessed to shooting his alleged mistress’s husband outside a Dunwoody day care center in 2010, was found guilty of murder today in a DeKalb County courtroom, and was sentenced to life without parole. Neuman, who claimed during his trial that he saw visions of Barry White demons and Olivia Newton John angels prior to murdering Rusty Sneiderman, was also found by jury to be mentally ill — presumably why he got life in prison instead of the death penalty.

Earlier today, Neuman’s estranged wife Ariela spoke with WSBTV and basically said her husband’s insanity claims were bogus ...
“I have no mercy, not for him,” Ariela Neuman told Channel 2’s Jodie Fleischer in an off-camera interview.

Neuman’s husband, Hemy, has admitted to gunning down Rusty Sneiderman, his co-worker’s husband, in November 2010. He pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, but his wife called him a faker.

“He was arrogant. He was violent. But he wasn’t crazy,” Neuman said.

According to the AJC, prior to being sentenced Neuman read a statement that said, “Rusty was a good man with so much ahead of him and I’m so, so so sorry for their loss ... They the Sneiderman family should’ve not had to undergo the sorrow, the pain and the loss.
