Georgia State University President Mark Becker, who’s interested in building on Turner Field when the Atlanta Braves leave, says retrofitting Turner Field might be cheaper than building a new stadium. And could The Ted see a second life as a retail center a la Ponce City Market?

After some reluctance, Atlanta’s Zoning Review Board has denied approval for a $55 million office complex in Old Fourth Ward. The developer’s plan, 525 North, was slated to restore a stretch of North Avenue near Boulevard. 

Former Gov. Roy Barnes says it’s time to pardon Leo Frank of a 1913 murder conviction. The state has already acknowledged that the lynching of Frank could have been better prevented.

Two armed teenagers allegedly barged in on an Atlanta family after pretending they were having car trouble. The homeowner was shot in both legs while protecting his wife and children from the gunman. Atlanta Police officers are on the lookout for the two suspects.

Brookhaven Mayor Rebecca Williams thinks Sandy Springs’ development plans could cause congestion in her city. She thinks her colleagues in Sandy Springs government should have better informed Brookhaven about the proposed mixed-use development before they got so deep in the planning process.
