Heritage Sandy Springs Fri., Aug. 29, 6:30 p.m. Rhythm & Brews Concert Series The concert series is held May-August on the last Thursday of each month. Doors open at 6:00 pm. All proceeds benefit the nonprofit Heritage Sandy Springs. This week the Packway Handle Band will perform for the happy hour concert series. Details

5 Paces Inn Fri., Aug. 29, 6 p.m.-3 a.m. Buckhead Block Party Irby street in Buckhead will flood this weekend with beer, barbecue, football fans, and live music from five bands. Tickets start at $25 and get more costly as the date approaches, so plan accordingly. Details

Cypress Street Pint & Plate Sat., Aug. 30, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. End Of Summer Pig Roast This burger and beer haunt in midtown invites guests to indulge in an evening of live music, Sweetwater beers, and a 100-pound pig. Expect commemorative artwork and pint glasses as well as VIP access to special Sweetwater brews. Details

Duluth Festival Center Sat., Aug. 30, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Taste of Taiwan Celebrate local Taiwanese food and culture this weekend with the Taste of Taiwan. This family friendly event will feature chefs and vendors specializing in Taiwanese dishes as well a Chinese dragon dance and a Tai-Chi Chuan demonstration. Details

East Atlanta Farmer’s Market Sun., Aug. 31, noon. Anything Grows East Atlanta Village opens its gardens, homes, and restaurants to the public for this neighborhood tour. Guests will be shown the wild side of the village’s native plants and community gardens leading up to a garden party with beer and homemade pizza. Details

Buckhead Saloon Sun., Aug. 31, 2-11 p.m. 10th Annual Beer & Whiskey Fest Come taste different whiskies and beers in front of four live bands at the Buckhead Saloon. There will be a charity raffle and whiskey tasting with a portion of the proceeds going towards the Path Foundation, which creates public trails throughout Georgia. Details
