While historically St. Patrick’s Day celebrates the arrival of Christianity to Ireland, stateside we tend to choose a slightly different approach to the celebration, and mainly proclaim the merits of verdant hues and alcoholic beverages.
This Saturday, the drinks will be poured and celebratory music played by CL’s favorite, Yacht Rock Schooner. In addition to playing their normal beloved set, Yacht Rock will be playing an ode in special tribute to that ubiquitous and magnanimous Irish behemoth, U2.
The festivities will start at 2 p.m. at Park Tavern at Piedmont Park (500 10th St NE Corner of 10th and Monroe). Tickets are $10 in advance, and $15 at the door. Buy tickets online.
