Atlanta Comic Convention

Looking at the next Atlanta Comic Convention lineup, one wouldn’t guess the event only takes place over the course of a day. The convention features new, well-respected and legendary comic artists for comic lovers to meet and purchase from, as well as special guests from various entertainment worlds. For its second convention of the year, ACC will bring Roberto Yun Rodriguez, an animator for “Gravity Falls,” “Family Guy” and “Scooby Doo,” as well as DC and Marvel veteran Drew Geraci, whose work includes Captain Marvel, Avengers Assemble and Star Wars comics.

Hammond’s House Museum examines the role of black artists as activists in their current exhibit, Respondez S’il Vous Plait (RSVP). The exhibit seeks to illustrate how black artists bring voice and understanding to challenges that people of color face, becoming storytellers, truth-seekers and activists. Featured artists will include Fahamu Pecou, Kevin Sipp, Michi Meko, Sue Ross, Alfred Conteh, Grace Kisa, Fabian Williams and Maurice Evans.
