Black in My Days

Hammonds House Museum will showcase the art of contemporary artist and illustrator Frank Morrison in his exhibition Black in My Days. Morrison’s technique draws on the styles of surrealism and abstraction and finds inspiration in street art and graffiti in order to create images reminiscent of his childhood in Brooklyn. The work portrays images of black love, playfulness and urban imagination in his signature style of exaggerated body parts and flowing motion.

Our Revolution DeKalb is hosts a forum for candidates for district and municipal offices in DeKalb County. Sachin Vargese, Bee Nguyen and Monique Keane for House District 89, Tamara Johnson-Shealey and Sally Harrell for Senate District 40, Liliana Bakhtiari for City Hall and Ted Terry for mayor of Clarkston will discuss their plans for office and hear constituents’ concerns.
