Eclipse di Luna Oct. 16, 2017-Oct. 20, 2017 Festival de Pulpo Eclipse di Luna is throwing a stateside celebration of Spain’s Festival de Pulpo. Rose + Rye Oct. 17, 2017, 5-10 p.m. Opening Day at Rose + Rye Rose + Rye is opening its doors to the public in Midtown’s historic “castle,” serving refined American cuisine with an international twist. The new Atlanta restaurant is run by an all-female team and features three levels of dining and drinking space. Details

Decatur, Georgia Oct. 17, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Restaurants 4 Repairs Dine in Decatur and help support the community. Participating restaurants like Raging Burrito, the Corner Pub, Mezcalitos and Matador Cantina will donate a percentage of their proceeds to the Decatur MLK Service Project, a community initiative that helps low-income senior residents live a safer, more comfortable lifestyle by making home repairs, doing yard work, and making homes handicap-accessible. Harp Transmission Oct. 19, 2017, 7:30-11 p.m. Argha Noah’s Come to Dinner A four-course meal prepared by Mike and Shyretha Sheats of the Plate Sale pop-up will feature local, seasonal ingredients alongside made-to-order cocktail pairings. The evening will continue with music from a local jazz ensemble and DJ Jay Simmons. Nicholas Goodly, art editor of the Columbia Journal Online and writing editor of Wussy Magazine, will lead a poetry reading, and private viewings will be offered of artist and scientist Bojana Ginn’s light and fiber installation, “Even Mountains Are Only Suspended On Strings.’ Since the artist-run civic engagement platform strives to provide 90 percent of its programs for free, this ticketed event’s proceeds will go towards commissioning Ginn’s work and future Argha Noah initiatives.
