Cheers! A new spot to drink craft beer is coming to the food area of Lenox Square. Peachtree Pint will have 40 taps, five wines, and 35 additional craft beers with a local and regional focus.

Why buy your girl a bouquet, when she can eat one? Paris based Amorino Gelato opens this Sat., Dec. 23 at the Shops Buckhead Atlanta at 1 p.m. Their artists will create rose-shaped scoops of gelato and sorbet made with French milk, whole fruit purees, and all natural flavors and colors. Imagine delights like tiramisu and stracciatella as edible roses.

Hugh Acheson has named an executive chef for his forthcoming restaurant Achie’s inside the Omni at the Battery Atlanta. Alex Bolduc, formerly of Acheson’s Athens restaurant Five & Ten, will helm the Southern fare kitchen.

Southern Living has released its “30 Women Moving Southern Food Forward” list, and showed Atlanta some love. Included in the list are: biscuit queen Erika Council of Southern Souffle, president of Peach Dish Judith Winfrey, deputy editor of Southern Foodways Alliance (and forthcoming CL writer) Osayi Endolyn, chef/owner of the Grey in Savannah Mashama Bailey, and former Empire State South pastry chef Cynthia Wong. Hell yeah.

This week, local do-gooders Concrete Jungle hit 100,000 mark in servings donated to local food banks and shelters. You can help celebrate the nonprofit that harvests neglected and underutilized fruits with a donation here.

Alpharetta has some new Tex-Mex. Chuy’s is now open for lunch and dinner at 2560 Old Milton Parkway. The Austin-based chain gifted the first 50 people in line with free Chuy’s for a year when they opened their doors this past Tuesday. 

Brunch alert! Inman Quarter’s Char Korean launches a new Saturday brunch (they also serve brunch on Sunday). Drink $15 bottomless mimosas with items like KFC matcha waffles with honey butter, smoked salmon avocado toast, or Korean eggs benedict.
