SISTER ACT: Larkin Poe is Rebecca (from left) and Megan Lovell.

The multi-instrumentalist Lovell sisters, Rebecca and Megan, received instant credibility when they opened for and backed Elvis Costello on his 2015/16 mostly acoustic Detour concert run. The Atlanta siblings' 2017 album, proudly titled Peach, finds the sisters exploring their blues roots with tantalizing covers from traditional deep delta artists such as Son House and Robert Johnson along with a handful of edgy, indie rocking originals. Both women boast impressive voices but it's when they harmonize that the magic happens with a mix of the haunting and intensely powerful. Fellow Georgia duo opener Cicada Rhythm lays down an enticing, and occasionally dark, folk/country groove.

With Cicada Rhythm. $15. 8 p.m. Thurs., Dec. 21. Terminal West. 887 W. Marietta St. Studio C. 404-876-5566. www.terminalwestatl.com.
