Live Edge Restaurant and Bar (792 Cascade Ave. S.W.) is now open in southwest Atlanta. The tapas restaurant and bar features live entertainment, a Beltline location, and original artwork by Savannah-based painter Cedric Smith. Live Edge’s menu includes Korean short ribs, ground turkey sliders topped with smoked Gouda, and fried or boiled lobster.



Char Korean Bar & Grill adds weekend brunch service from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and from 12:30-4 p.m. on Sunday. The menu features Korean fried chicken and waffles, bibimbap, and Korean hotcakes with brown sugar and syrup. Diners can also get bottomless mimosas along with the regular cocktail menu. 

The opening team behind the Lawrence (Darren Carr, Eric Simpkins) and Hieu Pham (Crawfish Shack Seafood) opened Bon Ton, a Vietnamese-inspired New Orleans-style eatery, in the former Top Flr space today, Jan. 10. Co-owner Darren Carr says the restaurant will be a “big, loud, crazy New Orleans bar with amazing food.” Potential menu items include smoked snow crab, charbroiled crab claw, fried fish, and Nashville hot oyster rolls. Expect 20-30 beers, cocktails, and frozen drinks.

Informed industry insiders say that LA-based Jinya Ramen Bar will open its second Georgia location in the former Uncle Maddio’s space at 3714 Roswell Road.

Henri’s Bakery and Café is relocating to Andrews Square. The venerated Buckhead bakery is taking its coveted sweets and sandwiches around the corner from its current location at 161 Irby St. in Buckhead to the redeveloping Andrews Square complex this spring, according to What Now Atlanta.



O4W ramen restaurant NEXTO began lunch service last week on Jan. 3. Dine in or get it to-go Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m.
