New contemporary chamber works will be showcased Saturday night when New York-based Unheard-of//Ensemble — Ford Fourqurean (clarinet), Lauren Posey (cello) and Daniel Anastasio (piano) — performs with Atlanta’s Chamber Cartel. The program for the evening includes Kagan Breitenbach’s Zapruder’s “Threnody for a Widow,” Alan Hankers’ “Pastoral,” Joe Sferra’s “Trio” and Sunny Knable’s “Proserpina and the Devil.” During the latter piece, which is based on a three-minute play by Thornton Wilder, the musicians move throughout the audience while performing. For Frederic Rzewski’s “Les Moutons de Panurge,” the Unheard-of trio is joined by Chamber Cartel in a piece that calls for “any number of melody instruments and any number of non-musicians playing anything.”

$10. 8 p.m. Sat., March 4. W/ the Chamber Cartel. The Mammal Gallery, 91 Broad St. S.W. www.mammalgallery.com.
