Foundation Social Eatery Sat., March 25. 5-10:30 p.m. Foundation Social Eatery’s Third Anniversary The Roswell mainstay, helmed by chef Mel Toledo, is offering a three-course meal for only $30 to celebrate the special day. The celebratory menu includes crispy pork ribs, house made fettuccini with chicken bolognese and vanilla pots de crème. Details

Dad’s Garage Theatre Sat., March 25. 1-6 p.m. BaconFest 2017 There’s a saying about not biting off more than you can chew, but with 2,250 pounds of bacon simmered, sizzled, fried and seared, it will prove difficult not to go a little ham at BaconFest. Live music, quirky carnival games, bottomless beer and more is included with ticket purchase. A “Whole Hog” upgrade includes the aforementioned as well as access to a VIP room, two additional beer choices (Side Car and Big Foot), a literal whole hog and free Dad’s Garage shows in April. All proceeds from the event go to Dad’s Garage, so expect improvisers to be roaming around for punchlines. Keep in mind, there is no parking. A ride-share option or a stroll down the Beltline will help patrons enjoy (or wallow in) greasy glory. This event is 21 and up only. Details

Cibo e Beve Sat., March 25. 1-3 p.m. Cooking Stocks and Sauces Chef Linda’s next cooking class is all about working with the essential part of any dish: the stocks and sauces. During this two-hour hands-on class, students will learn how to make béchamel sauce, butter sauce, hollandaise, béarnaise and salsa verde. Chef will serve each with various proteins and demonstrate how to incorporate them into different dishes. Details

The Cook’s Warehouse — East Cobb Sun., March 26. 1-4 p.m. Rise and Shine: Breakfast Breads These recipes are for any skill-level and tastebuds. Light and fluffy buttermilk biscuits with raspberry butter, triple vanilla scones, lemon-blueberry and gingerbread donut, cinnammon rolls, and raspberry cream coffee cake are on the menu for this hands on class with Chef Crystal Leach. Orpheus Brewing Sun., March 26. 12:30-5 p.m. Orphism #9: Hannah Pearman In addition to brewery tours and special beer tastings (like Noise & Flesh -currently only available at the brewery) guests will also have the chance to mix and mingle with Atlanta artist Hannah Pearman, who will create a live painting of the cosmos during the event. Orpheus will also host a local artist pop-up shop in the tasting room where guests may purchase any artwork that Pearman brings along. The Orphism event series is hosted at the brewery on the last Sunday of each month and is an interactive, family and dog-friendly event. Details

No. 246 Sun., March 26. 5-8 p.m. Backyard potluck for Jason Fisher At just 29 years old, Jason Fisher, longtime sous chef at Italian-inspired downtown Decatur mainstay No. 246, is battling a very rare form of cancer for the second time in two years. To raise money for his medical expenses, Fisher’s Ford Fry restaurant family is teaming up with local charity the Giving Kitchen and an army of acclaimed Atlanta chefs for a backyard potluck extravaganza in his honor. Chefs onboard include Anne Quatrano, Brandon McGlamery, Nick Melvin, Gerry Klaskala, Todd Richards, Linton Hopkins, Chris Hall, Billy Allin, Hector Santiago and the Fox Bros. Cold beer and cocktails will come from Terrapin and Heaven Hill Distilleries, with ping-pong and live bluegrass in the courtyard.
