There’s no excuse needed to stay in your PJs all day at DopeFlix & Jammies. Kick back, relax, and enjoy brunch with the premiere of three dope, local short films. The event is hosted by Dope Artistic Focus, a film production company that specializes in artistic and empowering work. They produce various types of films including commercials, music videos, and original content. After the screenings, creators will discuss their stories and interact with audience members in a Q&A session. Guests will have the opportunity to network with local filmmakers in a business casual environment – emphasis on the ‘casual,’ seeing as wearing pajamas is highly encouraged. This day serves as a comfortable space and creative outlet for both filmmakers and fans, and if you’re still not convinced, there will also be opportunities for free food and prize giveaways. BYOB (Bring Your Own Blanket) and enjoy a day of film screenings, food, music, and more.

$15-$30. 2-6 p.m. Sat., Feb. 17. TILA Studios, 2835 Church St. 980-254-0595. www.tilastudios.com
