NEW BREWERY: Steady Hand Beer Co. is set to open a taproom and production facility in West Midtown come early 2018.

The team behind Victory Sandwich Bar, Little Trouble, and S.O.S. Tiki Bar has a new place in the works, coming soon to Inman Park. Co-owner Ian Jones told Eater that LLoyd’s will be an “unholy mix of Chili’s and Southern comfort food.” Expect it to open next year at 900 Dekalb Ave.

Bad news for late-night drinkers: Beginning Jan. 1, DeKalb County bars and nightclubs will be prohibited from serving alcohol after 2 a.m., Sun.-Wed. and after 2:30 a.m. Thurs.-Sat. Under the current law, liquor can be served until 3:55 a.m. every night.

Steady Hand Beer Company is moving in on the Westside. The 14,000-square-foot taproom and production facility near Top Golf at 1611 Ellsworth Industrial Blvd. is expected to open spring 2018 with a stage for live music and ample space for food trucks.

There will soon be another spot to get those craveable red and white sauces, Atlanta. The Halal Guys , famous for their NYC cart turned brick and mortar restaurant, are adding a new location at Modera Midtown in early 2018. (Their first location is on Buford Highway in Chamblee.) The Halal Guys will join Momonoki, a Japanese comfort cuisine spot from the team behind Brush Sushi Izakaya.

In Georgia’s first brewery/cidery collaboration, Second Self Beer Co . and Urban Tree Cidery released Big Apple Ale. Made with fresh pressed apple from Cathey Family Orchard in North Georgia, it’s pouring at Second Self taproom now. Visit the brewery for a special release event on Fri., Dec. 22.

The Woodlands Circle, Sweetwater Brewery’s reserve society for releases from the Woodlands sour and wild ale facility, has its first release this weekend. Members will pick up a bottle of the first release from the Chattahoochee Series a double barrel imperial stout aged in bourbon and cognac barrels with tangerine, vanilla, and lactose. Dolce Italian at the Shops at Buckhead will close after dinner service on Sat., Dec. 30. What Now Atlanta included a statement from John Meadow, founder and president of LDV Hospitality: ‘Thank you for the memories at Dolce and the continued support of American Cut and the Regent Cocktail Club.”

Grant Park’s Republic Social House has introduced a new seasonal menu. Items like Frito pie, ahi tuna wontons, and lemon basil linguine with grilled shrimp and chicken pare well with the restaurant’s recently launched downstairs bourbon bar with high-end pours.

Speaking of movies, in true Wes Anderson fashion, Bar Margot has introduced a new speakeasy style cocktail series. The Missing Digit, an homage to the bar’s namesake, Margot Tenenbaum from The Royal Tenenbaums, will release a new seasonal cocktail every two weeks. The first release is the Orna, a creme de menthe-based sipper.
