Not only did one of the most lauded Civil Rights leaders grow up in our city, but he also worked, preached, and changed the world here. As Atlantans, we remember Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on this national holiday and take pride that we live in the birthplace of the Civil Rights movement. City Winery celebrates the 32nd anniversary of MLK Day with soulful jazz presented through the silky smooth voice of Chandra Currelley. The singer and actress’s ability to cross musical and theatrical styles has given her the opportunity to work with some of the greats, including Clarence Avant, Roy Ayers, and Tyler Perry.
