“Bloodstains, speed kills / Fast cars, cheap thrills / Rich girls, fine wine / I've lost my sense, I've lost control, I've lost my mind!” On paper, these words look like L.A. hair metal fodder. But when played at high velocity, in the capable hands of Agent Orange singer/guitarist Mike Palm, they’re a timeless, rebellious mantra. It doesn’t matter if you’re 14 or 54 years old: Agent Orange cranked out some of the most whiplash and emotionally distraught surf and skate punk ever committed to tape, back when Ronald Reagan was still fresh in the White House. Seeing the group live is kind of a rite of passage. For this show, the Orange County legends headline a bill featuring the Atom Age and locals the Compartmentalizationalists.
