Flying into the Future is where science and nature collide to bring you activities focused on STEM, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. We are all about forward-thinking at this Family Fun Day. Come ready to learn about birds as well as test your tinkering skills with our STEM-themed partners and activities. The event highlight includes a flighted birds of prey show, where visitors will be able to learn about these incredible animals and have opportunities to get up close as well. This event will also kick off the opening of our Eco Tinker Interactive Exhibits, open this quarter.

The Story Never Told: The Fate of Iraq’s Jews

Breman Jewish Heritage Museum - 1440 Spring St. N.W. Atlanta, GA 30309 Free-$12. 2 p.m.

The Breman Museum is hosting an oral history presentation by Maurice Shohet. Mr. Shohet will be speaking in conjunction with our exhibition Discovery and Recovery: Preserving Iraqi Jewish Heritage. Mr. Shohet will discuss the history of Iraq’s Jewish community, exploring its decline from a once thriving community to today’s reality of a dispersed, diaspora existence. In addition, as a Jewish Iraqi refugee himself, he will share personal anecdotes related to the history of Jews in Iraq.

Join us at Urban Tree Cidery for a fresh and new INCIDER spin on cocktail classes. Our WOMEN’S Libation class is centered around drinks named after women - we love our ladies here at Urban Tree. In this class you will learn how to prepare four different cocktails - and drink them, too.
