SOULFIRE: Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul are touring in support of their first release in nearly two decades.

Actor, Sirius XM’s “Underground Garage” host, E Street Band guitarist, and Renaissance man Steve Van Zandt, aka Little Steven, has championed rock ’n’ roll since growing up in New Jersey alongside a teenaged Bruce Springsteen. Van Zandt’s horn-injected Disciples of Soul reconvened for 2017’s Soulfire , the group’s first release in nearly two decades. This rare tour, featuring a sprawling 14-piece lineup, is a benefit for Van Zandt’s TeachRock, a national initiative to bring music curriculums into middle schools and high schools.
$40-$45. 7 p.m. (doors). Wed., May 16. Center Stage. 1374 West Peachtree St. 404-885-1365. www.centerstage-atlanta.com.
