ROCKET’S RED GLARE: Shehehe vocalist Nicole Bechill sways in stripes alongside guitarist Noelle Shuck and drummer Jason Fusco.

It’s America’s birthday, and these bands are ready to party. Athens-based Shehehe bursts with passion, opinion, and ’70s glam rock expressionism. Sing along as the group belts out anthemic punk melodies riddled with refined harmonies. Divided Heaven is a melting pot of punk, hardcore, and indie rock ’n’ roll influences brewed together by singer/songwriter Jeff Berman. Reminiscent of pop-centric soft metal, Divided Heaven covers a lot of ground, making the group a definite crowd pleaser. While instrumentally classic metal, Useless Against shakes things up with power-pop and new-wave driven vocals. The strength in the lead singer’s higher register adds buoyancy to the heavy rhythms. Let your freak flag — or your American flag — fly this Fourth of July.
