Visions of a wasteland dominated by androids — a world where millions of children and adults live paralized by social media under the totalitarian rule of Amazon’s Alexa. With the charts taken hostage by mindless rot, Charli XCX’s endlessly innovate brand of synth-pop shines like a beacon amid her contemporaries. Now, after a stint of performances in NYC and Chicago with Dorian Electra, the duo brings their Femmebot Fantasy showcase to Atlanta. Featuring local provocateurs Bali Baby, Superbody, and drag-queen trailblazers Taylor Alxndr and Molly Rimswell, the lineup is filled to the brim with some of the boldest acts around. Femmebot attire encouraged, femmebot fierceness required.

Word on the street says that tickets are pretty scarse. However, Charli XCX is doing a Criminal Records in-store meet and greet on Saturday from noon till 2 p.m. To participate in the meet and greet, purchase at least one Charli XCX title at Criminal Records. The store has set up an online pre-order link to find titles such as  Number 1 Angel / Pop 2 (2xLP or cassette), Sucker (LP or CD), and True Romance (LP or CD).

$25-$35. 10 p.m., Sat., Aug 11. 529 Bar, 529 Flat Shoals Ave SE. 529atlanta.com.
