Census: Atlanta nears six million residents

The U.S. Census estimates the 2018 population of the Atlanta Metro at 5,949,951. That is a rise of roughly 1% over 2017 and 12.5% since 2010.
The Atlanta metro area remains the ninth largest metro are in the U.S. - just a shade behind Piladelphia.
