NEWS BRIEF: Microsoft to develop 1 million square feet of space in Douglas County

Tech giant Microsoft has filed an application with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs to build technology facilities in Douglasville, west of Atlanta, on 93 acres of land for which the company paid $13.8 million. The plan is to develop 1 million square feet of space on the property, consisting of four 245,000 square foot data centers. The project, filed under the name FTY101, would include a total of four 245,000 square foot‘technology facilities’ on a 160-acre parcel located at 1601 North River Road, with the work estimated to be completed by 2023. datacenterdynamics.com
