An art teacher at a Covington high school was caught on a cellphone camera allegedly using the N-word in class. A video circulated online reportedly shows Alexandrea Boyington asking her students if it’s okay for her to use the epithet “if I date a Black guy” because “I got a (N-word).” Boyington, named teacher of the year for 2018-2019, has been suspended by officials at Alcovy High School while they investigate the incident. theguardian.com
