NEWS BRIEF: Artist needed for two-year residency at Norfolk Southern

Applications are now being taken for an inaugural artist-in-residence program at the new headquarters of the Norfolk Southern transportation company in Midtown. A press release said NSC “is seeking an artist who not only wants to take advantage of the studio space, but is motivated to engage with and further build connections among company employees through the power of art.” The selected artist will have a two-year residency in a campus studio with big windows and natural light to craft exclusive pieces for the company. An annual stipend of up to $5,000 is part of the deal. Applications must include a resume, biography, and ten images of the artist’s work to be submitted by Dec. 2. nscorp.com
