Augusta protects LGBTQ from discrimination
Augusta is now the 14th city in Georgia to pass a nondiscrimination ordinance that provides protections to LGBTQ people and other marginalized groups. “The passage of this ordinance ensures 202,000 more Georgians are provided the necessary protections from discrimination that we all deserve,” said Jeff Graham, Georgia Equality’s executive director. “A tremendous amount of good work by many good people has today made Augusta a more equal, fair, and better place,” added Matthew Duncan, president of Equality Augusta. georgiaequality.org
