Thimble, a company that teaches engineering and programming skills via a K-12 curriculum, has signed a $1,000,000 million contract with the Atlanta Public Schools system to provide the district’s 55,000 students with reusable STEM kits, backing for online learning, and professional development for educators. “This is a fantastic opportunity for us to provide our services and products to the public school system in Atlanta, and also to productively engage with the local community,” said Thimble founder Oscar Pedroso. “We are looking forward to a great partnership aimed at bringing valuable engineering and technology education to students across the district.” The contract will last for three years, with an option for renewal afterwards.
