NEWS BRIEF: Hiring fair snags 350 new employees for State Farm Arena

The Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena hosted their annual ‘Holiday Hiring Fair’ on Tuesday that resulted in about 350 job offers being made to applicants with 80 percent accepting them on site. The event at Puttshack, a “tech-infused” mini golf course in west Midtown, used an interactive interview process to assess potential hires for departments such as arena conversion, food and beverage, guest experience, housekeeping, security and uniform management. “There’s still more hiring for us to do,” said Hawks VP Camye Mackey. “As we continue to identify and hire local talent, we will also find ways to continuously improve our employee experience.” The Hawks and State Farm Arena have jointly hired more than 900 part-time and full-time employees since the beginning of the National Basketball Association’s 2021-22 season. nba.com/hawks
