The Atlanta Hawks have announced a multi-initiative campaign with a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating mental health stigma, reducing health disparities, and improving suicide rates among vulnerable populations. Silence the Shame and the Hawks will collaborate with local public schools, Skyland Trail, and other community groups to help erase the stigma around mental health challenges.

To kick off the program, Hawks All-Star guard Trae Young and singer-songwriter Chlöe participated last week in a Teen Mental Wellness Courtside Chat and discussed their own experiences with mental issues.

The next event is Mar. 20 during the team’s home game versus New Orleans. A special package will offer entry to both the game and a pre-game meet-and-greet, plus a limited edition co-branded shirt. A donation will be made to Silence the Shame from each ticket sold. si.com
