An enrollment slump compounded by the pandemic is causing Atlanta’s renowned Creative Circus to close its doors in late 2023. The advertising portfolio school is no longer enrolling new students and cites a “myriad of factors” in its decision.

Since opening in 1995, the Creative Circus on Lambert Drive enrolled at least 2,000 students to learn about brand strategy, art direction, graphic design, and copywriting. Many went on to land jobs at top advertising agencies. “Over the course of three, four years, our enrollment has gone pretty consistently down until it reached the point where … it tends to hurt the overall educational experience,” notes Executive Director David Haan. “We didn’t think that we could do justice to what the students were expecting.” reporternewspapers.net
