A much-delayed construction project at a prominent Midtown intersection is finally kicking into gear, according to Dewberry Group, owners of the 21-story eyesore at the southeast corner of Peachtree and 14th streets.
Known as Campanile Plaza, Dewberry executives blamed its delays on factors such as contractor disputes, the pandemic, the relocation of a marquee tenant and “financial snags.” Locals had denounced the unfinished structure as an “abandoned project” and spurred official complaints from the City of Atlanta’s Office of Buildings against the company. urbanize.city
