New McDonalds hires can join education and career advising program

McDonald’s fast food joints in greater Atlanta hope to attract up to 11,000 job seekers this summer, the company has announced. In return for signing on, the burger maker is giving new hires the ability to join Archways to Opportunity, its education and career advising program.

In partnership with the virtual Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, employees and their families can get a 5 percent discount on tuition and access to WGU-funded scholarships ranging in value from $2,000-$10,000, management explained.
