No sleep 'til 100 percent electric

Environment Georgia hosted an event this week calling on the state’s Congressional delegation to pressure the Biden Administration and the Environmental Protection Agency in enacting the strongest possible federal standards for clean trucks. The goal is to drive investments in cleaner rigs and transition to 100 percent electric vehicles.

Citing the fact that Atlanta is one of the nations’ major freight corridors, a press release said advocates want the higher standards in order to protect the health of vulnerable families near major roadways “that are most overburdened by truck and bus pollution.” Details: environmentgeorgia.org
