Looking to put a little Big Easy soul in your life? Jazz torchbearer Kermit Ruffins and the Barbeque Swingers are bringing New Orleans to Venkman’s on June 3. Starting at 10 p.m., join Ruffins as he personifies the laid-back vibe of New Orleans on stage. A founding member of Rebirth Brass Brand, Ruffins keeps the jazz music tradition alive and well for listeners young and old. He regularly appears on the HBO series Treme and the The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and now Ruffins will bring his love for the classics to Venkman’s!
