Atlanta Schola Cantorum Presents “Life, the Universe, and Everything: Music of Life and Death, Love and Nature”. Our program this spring consists of the choral music of a wide spectrum of composers, ranging from Thomas Tallis to Bobby McFerrin, with Tudor and Restoration English composers Maurice Greene, William Boyce, and Richard Nicolson along the way. The concert repertoire is also of varied styles, including a set of madrigals by John Bennett, John Ward, Thomas Weelkes, and Michael East. Also featured are Ola Gjeilo’s Northern Lights and two anthems, Africa and Rutland, of early American composer William Billings.
