Atlanta’s King Holiday Youth Slam is a competitive poetry competition for youth ages 14-19. Scores will be calculated using official Poetry Slam guidelines.Participants have an opportunity to represent Atlanta in the Brave New Voices Competition in San Francisco, CA for 2011. All poets signed up at Freedom Hall Auditorium by 1:30pm will have an opportunity to compete in the first round. This event is free and open to the public, but donations for aiding the slam team in going to BNV will be accepted. Sign-up for the slam is at 1pm. For more info, contact Hamzat Sani @ (404) 526-8963.
